Rogers Cup, presented by National Bank (in 2022, it was renamed National Bank Open presented by Roger), is a prestigious professional tennis tournament organized by Tennis Canada and one of two US Open ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Series & WTA 1000 tournaments. Each year, Montreal and Toronto share the task of hosting the best mens and womens players in the world, with both tournaments played at the same time. In 2024, the ATP will play in Montreal and the WTA in Toronto. The Qualifying Rounds are usually the Saturday and Sunday before the tournament.
Prior to 2020, since 1980, in odd-numbered years the men’s tournament was held in Montreal, while the women’s tournament in Toronto (source: wikipedia.org). Coupe Rogers is the 3rd oldest tennis tournament in the world, after Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, and has been played since 1881. For many years, the tournament has been one of the favorite spots for the best tennis players in the world. Past champions include names such as Agassi, McEnroe, Borg, Murray, Nadal, Djokovic, Federer, and many others.
